BAS Lodgement Deadlines 2026: Your Complete Guide

Never miss a BAS deadline again. Our complete calendar covers quarterly and monthly lodgement dates for the 2025–26 financial year.

BAS Lodgement Deadlines 2026: Your Complete Guide

Missing a Business Activity Statement (BAS) deadline can result in penalties, interest charges, and unnecessary stress. Whether you lodge quarterly or monthly, staying ahead of due dates is essential — and easier than you think with the right systems in place.

Quarterly BAS Deadlines (2025–26)

QuarterPeriodDue Date
Q1July – September 202528 October 2025
Q2October – December 202528 February 2026
Q3January – March 202628 April 2026
Q4April – June 202628 July 2026

Important: If you lodge through a registered BAS agent, you may be eligible for extended deadlines. Q1, for example, extends to 25 November 2025 when lodged via an agent.

Monthly BAS Lodgers

If your GST turnover exceeds $20 million, or you’ve elected to lodge monthly, your BAS is due on the 21st of the following month. For example, the July 2025 BAS is due by 21 August 2025.

What’s Included in Your BAS

Your BAS typically covers:

  • GST — Goods and Services Tax collected and paid
  • PAYG Instalments — Pay As You Go income tax instalments
  • PAYG Withholding — Tax withheld from employee wages
  • FBT Instalments — Fringe Benefits Tax (if applicable)
  • Tips for Stress-Free BAS Lodgement

    1. Keep Your Books Current

The single biggest cause of BAS stress is falling behind on bookkeeping. If your bank reconciliation is up to date, preparing your BAS takes minutes, not days.

    2. Automate Where Possible

AI-powered tools like Xero can pre-populate your BAS based on your coded transactions. When your bank feeds are categorised correctly, the numbers flow through automatically.

    3. Review Before You Lodge

Always review your BAS figures before submission. Check that GST collected and paid look reasonable for the quarter, and ensure all bank accounts have been reconciled to the statement date.

    4. Use a Registered BAS Agent

A registered BAS agent can lodge on your behalf, often with extended deadlines, and takes responsibility for the accuracy of the lodgement. This gives you peace of mind and professional oversight.

At Alpine Accounts, we keep your books reconciled and BAS ready every quarter, so whoever lodges for you is working from clean numbers. We monitor your books throughout the quarter so there are no surprises on deadline day. Alpine Accounts is not a registered BAS agent and does not lodge BAS: that goes through your registered agent. If you are tired of the quarterly scramble, book a consultation and let us take the legwork off your plate.
